Online therapy for anxiety

Does your mind keep going, even when you're exhausted?

You might find yourself replaying conversations or preparing for every possible problem, worrying that you’ve let someone down. Others might see you as capable and reliable, but you may feel constantly on edge, overwhelmed, and unable to switch off.

Here, you have space to talk about how much effort everyday life takes.

I'm Jamila Andersson, a UKCP-registered integrative transpersonal psychotherapist. I run weekly online therapy for adults across the UK, helping people to work through their anxiety and find out how they can feel more grounded.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Overthinking decisions and always looking for reassurance.

  • Feeling responsible for other people's feelings.

  • Saying yes when you want to say no, then feeling guilty or resentful.

  • Expecting criticism, conflict or something to go wrong.

  • Feeling restless, tense or tired, with difficulty sleeping.

  • Avoiding the situation because the worry is just too much.

You might know what causes these feelings, or you might have no idea why they happen. We can start with how you’re feeling right now.

What we can work on together

We’ll look at how anxiety affects your daily life, your relationships, and how you see yourself. Depending on what you need, our work might include:

  • Understanding patterns of worry, self-criticism, perfectionism and people-pleasing.

  • Exploring how your earlier experiences and the pressures of the present day affect what you feel.

  • Noticing when you feel tense or overwhelmed, and finding grounding practices that help you.

  • Making space for the feelings and needs that you've learned to put aside.

  • Developing boundaries and greater confidence in your own judgement.

We can also explore how culture, identity, discrimination, and family expectations might affect your experience.

Together, we can work towards giving you more choice in how you respond when anxiety comes up.

How I work

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. We start with what matters to you and regularly check in on how things are going.

We might notice physical sensations, explore different feelings that come up, and use imagery if it helps. My transpersonal approach also gives space for questions about meaning, belonging, and what helps you feel connected to yourself.

You get to decide what you share. We can take time to build trust and approach any difficult experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Sessions take place weekly online across the UK and cost £80. You'll need a private space and a good internet connection.

How long will therapy take?

We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and check in on our progress as we go.

Taking the first step

The free 15-minute consultation is a chance to tell me a bit about yourself, ask any questions, and see if my approach and an available weekly slot are a good fit.

You can start by saying something as simple as, "I'm finding it hard to switch off."
